History of T-shirts began in the mid-forties of the 20th century when, during World War II T-shirt became an independent part of the wardrobe. It is thought that polo shirt came up in 1933, French tennis player Rene Lacoste, however, is only a beautiful legend from the creators of the brand Lacoste. In fact, the story begins polo shirts in England, as closely linked to the exciting horse game of the aristocracy - polo.
Hoodies have been a documented part of men's and women's wear for centuries. The word "hood" is said to come from the Anglo-Saxon word "hōd". The garment's style and form can be traced back to Medieval Europe when the normal clothing for monks included a hood called a cowl attached to a tunic or robes, and a chaperon or hooded cape was very commonly worn by any outdoors worker. Its appearance was known in England at least as early as the 12th century, possibly an import with the Norman conquest of England. The hooded sweatshirt was first produced in the United States starting in the 1930s.
